ABOUT THE ATELIER
INTRODUCTION & CONCEPT
Giger Atelier is a creative space in the heart of Chur’s old town – an open studio that brings together art, workshops, a mini gallery, a shop, encounters, and a small café.
IT IS NOT A SHOP OR AN OFFICE, BUT A LIVING PLATFORM WHERE:
- Art is created and shared,
- Workshops and visual practices take place,
- Ideas for people and brands are born,
- Creative potential becomes visible.
ABOUT US
Behind Giger Atelier are Elena and Rolf Giger.
Elena – artist and visual storyteller who connects art, language, and experience.
Rolf – illustrator, cartoonist, and visual designer with over 30 years of experience, bringing humour, craftsmanship, and clarity into images.
Together, we create a space where free art, new experiences, and visual communication come together.
OUR PHILOSOPHY
Our philosophy combines simplicity with depth.
We believe that art should not only be seen but experienced – together, openly, and authentically.
OUR PRINCIPLES
- Meaning first. From idea to form – every decision serves the message.
- Images as language. We translate meaning into visual language and give it back to people.
- Open process. Art is not just the result – it’s a path to be seen and shared.
- Participation over spectacle. The audience is a participant, not a passer-by.
- Less is more expressive. Minimal means, maximum clarity and emotional power.
SHORT MANIFESTO
We work with forms, meaning, and ideas to make things speak.
We want people to feel part of something real – where art becomes encounter, experience, and ultimately, dialogue.
Giger Creative
Giger Atelier is not only a space for art but also a studio for visual thinking.
Here works Giger Creative – a studio for illustration, product photography, websites, and visual concepts.
It’s where art and communication connect.
