Illustration for Museums – Telling History Visually
Art Meets Knowledge: Illustration for Museums and Exhibitions
Illustration is a powerful medium to make complex content accessible, emotional, and visually engaging. In museums, it allows history, culture, and knowledge to come alive in vivid and memorable ways.
Goal: Communicating Through Visual Storytelling
Our mission is to design content that not only informs but touches the audience and stays with them. Each project is based on a thoughtful visual concept that reflects and enhances the identity of the institution.
Illustrative Execution with Depth and Variety
Our work includes:
- Hand-drawn illustrations for exhibitions and publications
- Detailed graphics and etchings on historical topics
- Visual design for special exhibitions, themed rooms, and signage systems
- Creative infographics and labeling concepts
Project Example: Museum Laax
For the special exhibition “Spuren – Geschichten auf Schusters Rappen”, we developed a comprehensive illustration concept. Historical themes were brought to life through a consistent visual style – from posters to wall graphics. Additionally, we created humorous illustrations for further cultural projects in collaboration with the agency diebündner kommunikationsmacher in Chur.
Result: Memorable Communication with Artistic Character
- Content becomes tangible, clear, and visually enhanced
- Exhibitions gain a distinctive visual signature
- Visitors experience knowledge in a new, emotional way
